Scheduled to kick off at 6pm GMT on January 6, 2026, the Winter Wipeout event will run for three weeks until January 27, offering ample time for players to engage in the new modes and acquire exclusive cosmetics. Notably, event-related cosmetics will remain available for purchase until February 10 for those who miss out during the event.
A highlight of this event is the addition of a new Hoverboard wildcard, showcased in the trailer with Octane showcasing its capabilities on the snowy slopes of Olympus. The Hoverboard, equipped in the Survival item slot during Wildcard matches, enables players to execute various tricks and abilities such as double jumps, wall-riding, and aerial maneuvers for EVO rewards.
Furthermore, several legends have undergone ability adjustments in this event, notably Newcastle, Octane, and Crypto. Octane now features a revamped stim ability and improved passive healing, while Crypto has enhanced stealth capabilities.
In line with the event’s theme, players can expect a collection of legendary skins for characters like Bloodhound, Alter, Fuse, Mad Maggie, Gibraltar, and Newcastle, along with corresponding skins for a variety of weapons in the Winter Wipeout packs.
