A man fatally shot his former wife at a hospital, causing distress among onlookers. Surveillance footage captured Atilla Ayintapli, 44, concealing a shotgun in a blue bag as he entered a private hospital in Kahramanmaraş, Turkey.

Inside, he targeted his ex-partner, Eser Karaca, 42, a medical secretary. Despite attempts to escape, Eser was cornered by Ayintapli, who shot her multiple times before fleeing. Colleagues witnessed the horrific incident and found Eser’s lifeless body.

Before the tragedy, Eser sought a restraining order against Ayintapli, but it was not served in time. The perpetrator was later apprehended by Turkish authorities and confessed to the crime, adding to the string of femicide cases in the country.

In a separate incident, Serkan Dindar was found guilty of killing Ceyda Yüksel in Izmir. Following an argument at his residence, Dindar violently attacked Ceyda, resulting in her tragic death. The police arrived at the scene after reports of a disturbance, ultimately discovering Ceyda’s lifeless body.

These alarming cases shed light on the ongoing issue of domestic violence in Turkey. Support services are available for those affected by domestic abuse, providing assistance and advocacy during challenging times.
